Do I need to have more than one network card?

A single network card is fine; best if it can run in full-duplex mode.

Is there better performance using two network cards and creating a front-end and back-end?

With one 1Gb network card running in full-duplex, you are limited to 1Gb of total bandwidth.

With two cards (front-end and back-end, full-duplex), you can potentially have 1Gb of incoming bandwidth and 1Gb of outgoing bandwidth simultaneously.

Can you setup network bonding with zeus ?

Yes - if you run Zeus software in a Linux or Solaris environment, just configure network bonding as you would normally.

If you're using the virtual appliance, configure two interfaces with the same IP address and we'll bond them automatically. The appliance documentation describes this in more detail.
