Zeus Wins Double at Industry AwardsZeus Technology's Zeus Extensible Traffic Manager (ZXTM), won both Accelerator Product of the Year and Editor's Award for most innovative use of technology at a prestigious industry awards ceremony last night. The independent panel of judges, selected for the second annual IDG Techworld.com Network Awards, presented Zeus with two awards, the only business to achieve this honour. Zeus's ZXTM product triumphed in the Accelerator Product of the Year, beating off competition from F5 Networks (BIG-IP LTM 6400), Netscalar (NetScaler Application Delivery Systems) and Swan Labs (Netcelera Web Accelerator). ZXTM was also selected for the Editor's Award for most innovative use of technology. Editor of Techworld.com, Maxwell Cooter, commented on the awards, "There were some interesting products in the accelerator category section but Zeus got the nod over some well-known competitors because of the way that it covered all bases from application and XML acceleration to server optimization, and at a lower price. The Editor's Award is always a tough section to judge as we have to compare differing technologies. The judges felt that Zeus offered a genuinely innovative alternative in the field of traffic optimization and acceleration and was a worthy winner."
