The Role

As members of Zeus' Development Team, our software engineers are involved in defining, designing, developing, testing, releasing and maintaining high performance software of exceptional quality.

Key Skills/Experience

Essential skills:

• First Class or Upper Second Class degree in Computer Science or similar discipline
• Experience with developing software in a UNIX environment (Linux, Solaris, FreeBSD, HP/UX, etc)
• Excellent understanding of software engineering
• Knowledge of key internet technologies and UNIX system administration
• Good communication skills, both written and spoken

Desirable Skills:

• Strong experience with C, C++, and scripting languages like Perl
• Practical experience of managing networking, security and related technologies
• Experience of working within a structured software engineering environment
• Engaging personality, with the ability to fit into the Development Team
• Appreciation of the challenges of developing software in a commercial environment
• Strong desire to learn and develop your knowledge and skills
