IP Transparency 1.4 released

On 6th September 2007 version 1.4 of the ZXTM Software IP Transparency module was released.

The following only applies to customers and evaluators running ZXTM software. The appropriate fix is included for ZXTM Appliance customers running version 4.2r1.

Version 1.4 includes a fix for a memory leak that was introduced in the previous version (1.3) of the module.

Am I running an affected version?

To determine whether version of the module running is affected by the memory leak you should read the file /proc/net/ztrans/version:

$ cat /proc/net/ztrans/version
2006/07/10 11:15:02 #22

If the final number is #25, #26 or #27 then you are affected, and you should download and install the new version of the module. Version 1.4 will report itself as #28 and earlier version will report themselves using numbers earlier than #24.

The new IP Transparency module is available from the main IP Transparancy page.

NB: ZXTM software customers will need to 'rmmod ztrans' then 'modprobe ztrans' into their running kernel for the new module to take affect.
