ZXTM 5.0 released

ZXTM 5.0 was released on 20^th May 2008 via customers' download pages and is available for download and evaluation.

ZXTM 5.0 is a major new revision to the ZXTM product family. It has a number of significant new features:

• Java Extensions increase the power of ZXTM's traffic management rules, allowing for the creation of rules in Java;
• IPv6 support is included as standard in all software and appliances;
• SIP support allows ZXTM to manage SIP traffic for VoIP applications;
• RTSP support gives full support for RTSP media delivery over TCP and UDP.

Upgrading

Customers with valid maintenance and support contracts will be able to download this release from their customer page.

• Software: Software upgrade instructions
• Virtual Appliance: Virtual Appliance (ESX or Windows Virtual Server) instructions
• Hardware Appliance: ZXTM 2000, 5000, 7000, 7400 or ZXTM 3000, 8000 appliances

Important note: The Java Extensions functionality requires a new license key. All ZXTM users will be able to download an updated license key from their customer page to enable this functionality.
